Chehalis Basin Strategy:Reducing Flood Damage and Enhancing Aquatic Species - Public Meetings, May 28th and 29th

The purpose of these meetings is to provide an opportunity for members of the general public to learn more about the work completed thus far for the Chehalis Basin Strategy: Reducing Flood Damage and Enhancing Aquatic Species.

A formal presentation will be provided each evening by Jim Kramer (Project Manager) from 6:30-7:45 PM, including time for Q&A.

Wednesday, May 28th from 4-9 PM, Chehalis Veterans Memeorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis, WA  98532

Thursday, May 29th from 4-9 PM, Montesano City Hall, 112 N Main Street, Montesano, WA  98563

Informational stations will be set up from 4-6:30 PM and 7:45-9 PM for attendees to learn more about specific elements of the work being done related to:

  • Flooding in the Chehalis Basin
  • A Potential Water Retention Structure
  • Aquatic Species Enhancement
  • Local Flood Reduction Projects
  • Alternatives to Protect I-5
  • Assessment of Local Floodplain Management Programs
