Between Oct. 20th and November 17th, local organizations interested in receiving United Way funding for 2017-18 may submit a Screening Application to United Way of Lewis County for the 2017 Grant Funding Cycle.
United Way provides funding to organizations that provide strategic programs in Lewis County impacting:

Early Literacy- ensures that individuals are surpassing key readiness and early grade reading benchmarks.

Youth Success –ensures that individuals are graduating from high school with the skills necessary to pursue post-secondary education or vocational training.

Financial Stability –ensures individuals develop and build the financial and employability skills they need to make informed financial decisions.

Support Services - ensures funding for a network of services, (food, shelter, etc.) to help hard-working individuals & families move past immediate needs.
United Way of Lewis County’s goals are directly connected to breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty by focusing on the above four impact areas.
The 2017 Screening Application can be found on the United Way website at www.lewiscountyuw.com/community-investment. If your organization is eligible, submit an application via email to Linda Raschke at admin@lewiscountyuw.com. Applications can also be mailed to United Way of Lewis County, 450 NW Pacific, Chehalis, WA 98532. All Screening Applications must be submitted by November 17th at 4:00 p.m.
Agencies selected to advance by the Community Investment Committee will be notified after December 9, 2016. Grant proposals will be due to United Way of Lewis County by Jan 12, 2017 at 4 p.m. Funding will begin July 1, 2017 and will be sustainable for one year, ending June 30, 2018.
