On Tuesday, August 11th at 4:30 pm, over 200 women will fill the Riverside Golf Course outdoor pavilion for an evening of fun, fashion, and philanthropy to embrace the power and knowledge of women in our community. Power of the Purse is a unique fundraising event accessorized with all the things women love – purses, accessories, spa packages, weekend getaways and more! It also signifies a social collaboration of women from all walks of life, coming together to commemorate the importance of women’s leadership and celebrating the power of women’s philanthropy and success in our community.
Through the Power of the Purse, United Way of Lewis County is building a group of dynamic leaders who are committed to igniting the power of women to advance the common good in our community. From a raffle of fabulous prizes to a drawing for a designer purse, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy great fashion and a night out on the town! Models will be dressed to the nine’s as guests will have the chance to enjoy a beautiful fashion show, showcasing women’s clothing stores & boutiques in Lewis County.
United Way, in partnership with Presenting Sponsors, re:Design, and Sisters Fabric Shop, will be honoring a remarkable woman with the 3rd annual ‘Woman of Distinction’ Award. In addition, guests will have the chance to participate in a new event this year called “Prada Parkway” - “Like new” high end handbags will be available in a silent auction. Joy Templeton of Once Upon a Thyme, will present beautiful hors d’ouerves so count on fabulous food from Joy.
